Bar Mercado was born from chef Anuj Sanghi’s love of market culture and the simple joy of feeding people well. Every morning he walks Queen Victoria Market with the same curiosity that first pulled him into the kitchen, choosing what looks vibrant and building plates around it. The food is bold, comforting and meant for the table to feel full. The room follows the same spirit with colour, conversation and that easy hum that makes strangers feel like regulars.

We keep things relaxed, generous and always rooted in freshness. Come for a quick drink or settle in with friends and let the afternoon drift into the evening. Mercado is a place where good ingredients and good company meet in the most natural way and where everyone is welcomed in with open arms.
